Assistants’ Overview

This is one of our most popular programs! It is designed for assistants, substitutes, and parent volunteers in Montessori environments. The sessions are organized to give support staff in the Montessori Early Childhood classroom a better understanding and implementation of the Montessori philosophy and method. This workshop has also proven valuable for administrators, admissions directors, and board members of schools who are interested in better understanding the Montessori model of education. Many schools have found this to be an excellent orientation for new staff members.

The Assistants’ Overview session will include:

  • Introduction to the Montessori Philosophy and its Classroom Applications
  • Role of the Adult and Principles of Working with a Child
  • Basic Classroom Management and Supervision
  • Introduction to the Montessori Environment and Material Presentations in the following:
    • Practical Life
